Privacy

This site collects as little as it can and measures nothing about you.

The controller for personal data processed through this site is socialpixelwave, reachable at editor@socialpixelwave.com.

The contact form collects the name, email address, subject and message you enter, plus the fact that you ticked the consent box. Nothing else is requested and no field is filled in for you.

The legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate guide when a correction is checked against published sources. The purpose is to answer you and, where relevant, to correct an entry.

Messages are kept for as long as the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards so that a correction can be traced, then deleted. Messages that need no answer are deleted sooner.

The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP address, request time, requested address and user agent. These exist for security and troubleshooting and are retained for a short period by the host.

There is no analytics on this site. No tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no third-party cookies, no fingerprinting and no social widgets. The site stores nothing in your browser: the single script it loads opens and closes the navigation menu, and that is all it does.

Data is processed by our hosting provider and, for form messages, by our email provider. Both act as processors under contract and do not use the data for their own purposes.

If a processor operates outside your country, transfers are made on the basis of standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard.

You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, whichever applies to you.
